Wenger goes after more kids

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger’s plans to hold his own Model United Nations event went a step further as he brought in 17 year old Mexican starlet Carlos Vela for a trial.

Continuing his policy of attempting to sign big names but then instead ending up with talented children, a bid of around 2.5 million should suffice for the young left footer – who came to prominence playing for Mexico as they won the under-17 World Cup.

Another signing who might produce the goods in 3 or 4 years, but will do absolutely nothing to help the North London club from seriously challenging Chelsea in the near future.

Arsene better hope Thierry Henry has much faith in these youngsters as he does, or the record-breaking striker may go the way of his bestest buddy and seek pastures new.

If Wenger’s transfer policy doesn’t start to pay dividends soon, it surely won’t be long before its not just the away support at Highbury singing “Oi, Wenger, leave those kids alone.”
