Keane goes for the kill

After hearing about Roy Keane’s censored outburst on Manchester United TV, we’ve been praying that some of what was said would be leaked – and the Daily Mirror duly delivered. After he’s already criticised their young players for being lazy and their rich fans for lacking passion, what topics did the Irish nutter set his sights on this time?

‘There is talk about putting this right in January and bringing players in,’ Keane told MUTV according to the Daily Mirror. ‘We should be doing the opposite – we should be getting rid of people in January.’

Good start, having a go at his teamates and asking for them to be sold. Not naming any names though, which leaves everyone feeling uncomfortable.

‘Just because you are paid £120,000 a week and play well for 20 minutes against Tottenham, you think you are a superstar,’ said Keane.

Singling out Rio Ferdinand! A masterstroke in crushing his enem…err…friends, Rio is already having a bit of a rough time and Roy shows once again he knows how to go for the kill.

‘The younger players have been let down by some of the more experienced ones – they are not leading. There is a shortage of characters.

‘It seems to be in this club that you have to play badly to be rewarded. Maybe that is what I should do when I come back – play badly.’

Whaaaaa?? Was that an indirect attack on Sir Alex? His professional ‘best mate‘. This may be the final proof that the United boss has officially lost control of the team he so carefully built into the world’s biggest club.

Oh Keano, why must you retire. Your candor and uninhibited rage will be missed.
