We started this transfer window with “What do we need?”, and now that the abomination-against-football that is the January transfer window has come to a closed it’s time to step back and evaluate how our teams let us down yet again.
Was Walcott a waste of money? Why didn’t United try to address their midfield crisis? Will Fowler’s fairytale have a happy ending? Are Portsmouth done buying Tottenham players? Why did Spurs sign one midfielder who said his dream was to play for Arsenal, and another who said Charlton were the bigger club? Can John Obi Mikel really turn inanimate objects into pure gold?
