We’re incredibly excited for the World Cup. Once every four years the top footballing talent in the world come’s together to compete in the name of their respective nations.
Well…at least that’s the idea. In just the past week or so many of the teams, including England, Italy, Holland, Sweden, Germany, France and the Czech Republic all have key players either struggling with injury or completely ruled out of their opening matches and apparently FIFA announced that we will see a record high number of players-we’ve-never-heard-of.
We enjoy the World Cup because we are able to support our home nation in a worldwide competition, but also because we love to see the world’s best players who we may not get to see perform on a weekly basis.
Here’s hoping every team has access to whatever Wayne Rooney has been taking.
