At the opening of this summer’s transfer window, we asked ‘Who Do We Need?‘
A quick glance through the responses reveals that more than a few readers are still waiting as chairmen and managers across the country once again leave it to the last minute. So with the transfer window closing on Thursday, the question on everyone’s mind is now ‘Who Do We STILL Need?’. Feel free to throw in some expletives if this summer has been especially cruel.
Every club still has needs at this point, some more glaring than others: Tottenham won’t stop going on about the lack of a left winger, Arsenal can’t finish and still miss Vieira’s presence, Manchester United need a long term partner for Michael Carrick and Newcastle need someone who isn’t a 40 year old Nigerian. The Goons in particular are getting impatient, with a poll on Arsenal-Mania revealing that most will be a tad annoyed at Wenger should no more signings arrive at Ashburton.
So with time quickly slipping away and imminent disappointment for all, we want to hear your last minute wishlists:
