Six games? What SHOULD Thatcher’s punishment have been?
by Administrator on August 30th, 2006The most admirable part about Manchester City’s decision to ban and fine Ben Thatcher for six weeks is that they recognized how long it could take the FA and the police to get their act together over the fullback’s attempt to assassinate Portsmouth’s Pedro Mendes, presumably because he fancied his wife for himself or something.
“As custodians of the club and football in general, the board and the manager felt it was important to act as soon as possible.” said Manchester City Chief Executive Alistair Mackintosh.
But even with more punishments on the way from the FA and the pigs, six matches off just seems like a nice little holiday. We’ve already made our opinion known about what Ben Thatcher’s punishment should be.
Any other ideas?

Thatcher should be walked to the centre circle of Fratton Park, and allow Mendes to kick him in the bollocks

Lye Thatcher down on the of Frattan Park, with the full attendance watching and have Mendes step on his balls, while wearing footy boots (metle studs included).
