After all the handbags following Mido’s comments about Sol Campbell prior to Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Portsmouth, Martin Jol has tried to play peacemaker with the former Arsenal defender. First, by giving the centre back a hug after the match and now heaping on the kind words,
‘I’m not somebody who can make the world better. Everybody can make their own decisions and we should leave it in the past.
‘But I think he is one of the best defenders of the last 15 years and everybody respects him. I even think that our crowd respects him.‘
