Steven Gerrard has been venting his frustrations about Liverpool’s Premiership form. Strangely, he’s not happy at being 11 points off the pace:
“There’s no worse feeling for me than sitting on that team coach replaying a defeat in my head. Of late, away from home, I’m sick of getting on that bus and being upset.
It gets worse for me when I look at the top of the table and see who’s sitting up there. How can any Liverpool player be happy when Chelsea and Manchester United and Everton are all up there challenging in the top six?No one is satisfied with the start we’ve made to the season in The Premiership and no one here at this football club is going to pretend that we’re happy with our position.â€
Liverpool seem to have found a bit of form recently, but Gerrard is still a bit short of his brilliant best and yet to net in the Premiership. From a neutral point of view an angry Steven Gerrard is great news. There’s probably no better to player to watch when he’s got fire in his belly (not literally though, that would be terrible) charging around like his life depends on the outcome of the game. Unless he’s playing against your team. Just ask AC Milan fans.
