Young stars are always exciting, especially when they emerge from the academy of a lucky Premiership club as Steven Gerrard did at Liverpool or, more recently, Wayne Rooney did at Everton.
Ahead of his under-18s FA Youth Cup tie, Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that Manchester United might have one such star coming through their ranks at the moment,
“We have got one outstanding player who has a magnificent chance of being a top player, but I won’t tell you who it is. He’s just a boy. If you get one or two through [the system] then you are doing well. I think at least half a dozen of them will get good careers in the game, hopefully at United.”
We have no idea who it might be and, if we were to guess, it would be entirely based on the FM2007 database (such as Corry Evans).
