Latest Transfer Rumours: Gallas, Alves, Cisse, Crespo, Koumas, Kamara and Perrin

The world of Premiership transfer gossip is full of nonsense, but some nonsense is more interesting that the other nonsense. Speculation is rife in the likes of the Mirror, Daily Mail, Times, Sun and… err… Tribal Football all do their best to predict and/or completely make up the future.

Here’s our opinion on the Premiership transfer rumours we’ve read in the papers and around the net… and if you have any thoughts, pop em in the comments.

CaughtOffside Says:

Everton and Portsmouth want Heerenveen striker Alfonso Alves.

CaughtOffside Says:
Nippy, tall Brazilian striker, and a complete throw of the transfer dice. Still, if he’s cheap it’s always worth a punt on a anyone scoring goals in the Dutch league rather than paying shedloads for James Beattie.

Djibril Cisse is interested in a move back to the Premiership, with Bolton interested in the Liverpool striker.

CaughtOffside Says:
Anelka lining up with Cisse would give Bolton the starting French strikers (due to current injuries). That level of attacking quality (well, Cisse mainly runs about aimlessly), in addition to Bolton’s strong defensive and midfield foundations, would really make Allardyce’s team a UEFA favourite each year. Cisse may be booed by some fans in Marseille, but we don’t doubt Fat Sam’ll get him sorted.

Arsenal are apparently keen on St Etienne’s 21-year-old midfielder Loic Perrin.

CaughtOffside Says:
More unproven talent…MORE! Bwahahahaha!

West Brom midfielder Jason Koumas is a target for Blackburn while Baggies striker Diomansy Kamara is wanted by Reading.

CaughtOffside Says:
Koumas was a long time transfer rumour for Tottenham a few years ago, but then seemed to drop off the map. Good on the ball but a good runner as well, would be a nice fit for Blackburn as long as Hughes gets him to perform consistently – a huge problem for him recently. Reading could probably do better than Diomansy Kamara, they have a good Premiership base and might want to take a peek at some players abroad to help them push on.

Hernan Crespo could still return to Chelsea from his loan at Inter Milan.

CaughtOffside Says:
Seriously, what’s the deal with Crespo? He still plays for Chelsea?
