Some might say this news story was important because Rafa Benitez reveals he rejected a good offer from a good club to stay in the Premiership with Liverpool. We say it’s because his daughter has a Scouse accent.
“You know my idea, I don’t like to talk about my family, but they are really happy here,” said Benitez on Sky Sports News.
“The Scouse accent of my daughter is a problem for me, but we are really pleased to be here.
“The only thing I want to say is I said no to a good a offer, a good team, because we are happy.
“It’s not a question of money or other things, it’s a project with my team, with my club and also the fans, the supporters behind us.
“We’re really pleased and really happy here for all these things together.”
