Manchester United Sign “Next Ronaldinho”

May 30, 2007

They completely arsed up trying to sign the original Ronaldinho, but Manchester United have pulled off the first unexpected big signing of the summer by picking up Porto ace Anderson, jumping ahead of rumoured interest from Chelsea and Barcelona previously.

Of all the players who United have been linked with recently, Anderson could arguably have the greatest impact. A player who, if he fulfills his immense potential, could give the club three of the best players in the world joining Rooney and Ronaldo and the fact that all three are under 22 is even scarier for the rest of the Premiership. He’s fast, tricky and…well, everything else that young Brazilian’s tend to be.

If there was ever an indication that Sir Alex plans to manage United until his deathbed, this may be it.

And, of course, the obiligatory YouTube compilation with - for some reason - JT providing the beats.

I’m sorry to say that next season we will have three of the biggest crybabies in the Premier League. We already have Ronaldo, next up is Anderson and Nani, I know Tottenham and Chelsea-fans, I’m sorry, but that’s how it will be!

the prospect of our team gelling and playing to its capabilities next year is frightening, the signing of hargreaves alone would have made us top contenders in europe and on top of that nani and anderson, i cant wait to see them working in tandom with the other lads, we will start to be feared again like in the 90’s which is what we have missed, and there is so many options as well which is amazin, the competition for places with be good too and as giggs and scholes come to and end of their illustrious careers hopefully nani and anderson can take the mantle, being amongst them for a further 2 years will no doubt help there development and turn them into team playing footballers like ronaldo has become. we now will surely be the most fearer team in europe, i know that all you other united fans are as excited as me. I dont even think we need another striker now as both can play in there. COME ON UNITED!!!!!!!

what a coup for united, not only have we got the two best young players in the world in Rooney and Ronaldo Fergie has just added 2 more ! our pace going forward next season will scare every team in europe. All we need now is huntelaar and that would probably give us the best squad in england if not europe !

Sab, it seems nobody grasps the substance of your comments tonight :-)

In the debate about Nani and here, those who replied take you too seriously. Is that good?

He’s not the next Adu, he might be the next Totti though, being an attacher (like Totti), loves his club and wants to bring it forward, reputation-wise and football-wise and he is the captain, he grew up in Atletico loving the club, hating Real Madrid, that’s why it would be fun for Utd-fans if Guti went to Atletico Madrid and frustrate Torres! Obviously Totti hasn’t won that much, but it seems he has made Roma very big (and won the World Cup), but never as big as they could or can be, maybe De Rossi will heritage Totti’s captain-band and make Roma bigger, but everybody knows if Totti would leave for one of the Milans or Spain or England, wherever! He would have won a lot more, if Torres would want to achieve a lot himself he would’ve moved already, if he wants to be like Totti and make the club bigger as he gets better, he’ll have to stay, and that’s what he’ll do, the specualtions of him leaving only brings PR to the club, he pretends like he’ll leave, and never leave!

Well we’re a quarter through the premier league right now and it’s a two horse race with United and Arsenal. Anderson, Nani and Hargreaves are doing great and come may they’ll have their first PL medal and maybe a CL one too later on.

have to say, as an arsenal fan I would much rather man u win the title than Chelsea, particularly now we are out of it. I would also like to add that Anderson is absolutely class as a player and I am already scared as to how good he is going to be next season,

I hate Man U however at some point you do have to take your hat off to Ferguson and respect some of the signings he has made - Anderson, in a couple of seasons will be Player of the Year - that is my prediction, just a shame we can’t have him,

will swap you him for Adebayor or bendtner like a shot???? any takers, no thought not

Got something to say?
