Martin Jol To Say Goodbye To Tottenham (Finally)

The Daily Mail is today intriguing us all with the headline “Jol tells Tottenham: I’m leaving White Hart Lane”.

The Mail is confidently predicting that a “crisis board meeting” will be held today after Jol apparently told the board he is ready to leave. Hang on a sec, weren’t the board meant to be sacking HIM for bad results. And the reasons for Jol leaving? He has had enough of Levy bombarding Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes with phone calls but the Daily Mail doubts The Special One would have taken the job:

“Mourinho couldn’t take up the offer because of the terms in his compensation agreement with Chelsea, although it is understood he didn’t want the position in the first place.”

The Mail thinks that the hunt for Juande Ramos is still on, indeed sporting director Damien Comolli was spotted in Barcelona watching their 2-1 win over Sevilla.

The Mail has a witness to all these shenanigans an insider at White Hart Lane claims that Jol wants to leave but won’t resign and miss out on all that lovely compensation dosh.

And there are two problems with Juande Ramos, firstly he wont come until the summer, meaning a lame duck of a season, and secondly he has already exhibited his inability to beat Arsenal loud and clear – even if Ramos comes , will it be more of the same?
