Who has the best youngsters in the Premier League?

Tottenham’s friendly ogre Martin Jol has moved to cool down the superlatives and hype that is being foisted upon some of Tottenham’s youngsters. Jol drew special attention to baby midfielders Kevin-Prince Boateng and Adel ‘Young Zizou’ Taarabt. Jol semi-growled:

“Like Adel, he (Boateng) has great talent. He just has to be productive. Adel came on with two minutes to go against Anorthosis, lost the ball in midfielder and it was almost in the back of the net. That is what he has to learn.”

So the Tottenham youngsters just aren’t good enough, yet, to Jol, but the club has still put out plenty of nice young talent the past few seasons. But what team has the best set of young whipper snappers? Arsenal would be an obvious choice with a plethora of talented young scamps, with more talent that pubescent spots on their faces. Everton certainly do a nice line in strikers, Jeffers, Cadamarteri, Rooney, Vaughan, Anichebe and now Jose Baxter, the latest gem to come from the Goodison assembly line. Middlesbrough have relied on youth to give their squad depth and have generally been repaid with quality performances on the pitch while Aston Villa get plenty of attacking drive from their pacey young lads.

So, as the boredom of international week threatens to raise the suicide rate to record highs, which club’s youth system has impressed you most?
