LA Galaxy reserve David Beckham will not be joining Ipswich for a bit of off season training afterall. Beckham had been rumoured to be interested in training with the Tractor Boys as they are based near his home in Hertfordshire, but Ipswich are denying everything. A spokeman told The Sun:
“Manager Jim Magilton was asked by the media two months ago if he would welcome Beckham to the club. Of course he would. But there have been no talks nor any approaches made.â€
WOW WHAT A SURPRISE. Sorry…
“[Beckham] is determined to keep fit ‘no matter what’, as the ex-Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder now faces up to five MONTHS without competitive club football before MLS resumes next April.”
Beckham’s new regime should do just the job, taking in WALKING up read carpets, LIFTING his profile in America and RUNNING into big name stars at Hollywood parties. Well at least he isn’t being pade USD$250 million.
