Gooner striker Emmanuel Adebayour, fresh from dangling the fact that he chose to stay with Arsenal over a move to Man Utd, has put a veritable whoopy cushion under the posterior of Man Utd, claiming that Cesc Fabregas is the best player in the world, with Lionel Messi coming a close second, and Christiano Ronaldo just being very very good.
Adebayour said:
“At the moment Cesc is the best in the world. It’s between him and Barcelona’s Lionel Messi. He’s a great player too but, for me, at the moment it’s Cesc Fabregas. It’s not just because he’s a team-mate but the way he plays. Absolutely fantastic. He’s our new leader, like Thierry was. We know with one pass, one shot, one corner he can change a game. He’s scoring and he has gained in confidence as well. At any time he can win us a game.â€
Fabregas better than Messi? Whoa! You have to applaud Adebayour’s timing, mere hours before the Arsenal Man Utd clash. Methinks that the king of step-overs and self love Mr Christ(iano) Ronaldo will have something to say about that.
Adebayour then went on to leave us with a peach of a prediction, the clairvoyant striker is going for an Arsenal win (surprise surprise!). Adebayour said:
“The team who wants it more on Saturday will win it. And I know for sure it will be Arsenal.â€
Hmm…That was about as controversial as Gary Lineker’s haircutl!
