Upon landing it took David Beckham twelve nanoseconds to say a resounding “Yes!” to England at Wembley in the hope that it will exorcise the Hollywood nightmare that is playing for Los Galacticos de Los Angeles at the Home Depot Center, alongside such luminaries as Peter “Insert Rude Joke Here” Vagenas, Ante Jazic, and Edson Buddle.
The Times is reporting that Steve McClaren has pinned all his hopes on David Beckham ‘inspiring’ the squad to success.
He can do all the inspiring in the world, but if Russia do beat Israel, then there can be no doubt that Steve McClaren will be shown a door marked “Eff Off!”.
