…Juande Ramos would point no further than Mr Berbatov, and he has effectively declared his undying love for the Bulgarian. New Spurs boss Juande Ramos has warned the vultures sniffing around star striker Dimitar Berbatov that they will have to prise the Bulgarian from his cold dead hands, before he lets him leave. The Guardian reports that Juande Ramos has faith that “Berby” will rediscover last season’s form, and that he is “vital” to Tottenham.
“Dimitar is obviously an integral member of the team and is vital to us. He’s one of the best quality players we have at the club and we want to have him with us for a long time to come. I’m sure he’s going to have an excellent season.”
So can Ramos wake Berbatov out of his slumber? Or has his indifferent start to the season sealed his fate amongst Spurs fans as a man who wants to be elsewhere, or not willing to fight for the team, or some other such excuse…
