The Daily Mail is reporting that Celtic, pretty unsurprisingly, are after the mediocre Everton and supreme Scotland striker James McFadden. Scottish legend McFadden could be the subject of a bid in January, and a move north of the border would be a huge boost for Celtic.
Whilst McFadden almost scores at will for Scotland – and has shot them to the verge of Euro 2008, his performances for Everton have often coughed and spluttered.
The Daily Mail claim that :
“Everton and Celtic have a good relationship which was boosted by Celtic allowing Thomas Gravesen to return to Merseyside on loan just before the summer transfer deadline. “
With Vaughan and Anichebe swiftly rising through the ranks, Jose Baxter being the subject of Rooney-esque whispers, and Yakubu and Andy Johnson also playing up front McFadden has found it hard to stamp his place in the Everton team, could a move up to Celtic be the perfect boost for his club career?
