Managers are never too pleased with their players making it into their national teams. It is less an honour and more a knee-ligament Russian roulette. So Arsene Wenger must be a bit miffed that Mathieu Flamini gets injured the first time he goes away with his country (France, since you ask). Setanta sports reported:
Arsene Wenger will make his key player pass scans in order to know the extent of his injury, as Les Bleus’ medical staff have refused to reveal what the blow is.
Not sure about ‘key player’, but they are new to football I suppose. What does this mean for Arsenal, Flamini is, afterall, the new Viera etc etc etc? Well…
Wenger will have to model a different midfield against Wigan at the weekend, as Cesc Fabregas is already out of Saturday’s clash against Wigan due to suspension and either Gilberto, Denilson, Diarra, Abou Diaby or Alexandre Song could start the game.
And it’s only Wigan afterall. We’re more worried about who will replace Cesc in our Fantasy football team.
