With Chelsea transfer sluts like Didier Drogba baying for a move one minute and then protesting their loyalty the next, it must be nice for Avram Grant to have assurances of loyalty for once.
The Sun is reporting that Michael Essien has claimed he’d be happy to stay at Chelsea for ever and ever. Essien said:
“With football being what it is, you can never be certain what will happen in the years ahead. But I’d be very happy if I could play for Chelsea until I stop. It is a great club and I’ve really settled here. It was always a dream of mine since I was a young boy to play in England. Chelsea have helped me with that dream and I am glad that I can give something back to the club. It would be good to stay a long time.”
Hmmm…We wonder if Ballack will be as loyal when he returns from injury next month.
