The Sun are today reporting that Ronaldinho’s potential move to Chelsea is heating up, with the threat of Ronnie buying out his contract and leaving for nada in the summer becoming more and more of a reality, and The Sun journos are even reporting that: “RONALDINHO last night demanded to know if he is off to Chelsea in January.”
The prime piece of evidence (aside from the usual shifty unnamed sources) appears to be Ronaldinho’s brother-agent hybrid; Roberto de Assis :
“Will a move be agreed in December? You’ll have to ask the club.I can’t receive offers — it’s down to Barca to receive and consider offers. I haven’t spoken to anyone.He is very happy, but every Wednesday and Sunday the story changes in football.”
So what the Sun are saying here is that because Assis didn’t issue a strong Rick Parry-esque denial, a move to Chelski is on…Possibility or gutter-press-ness?
