The Sun’s Tom Collomosse reports that West Ham striker Craig Bellamy might need another operation to sort out his stomach injury. Bellamy has already been to Germany to see the same Teutonic groin-fiddler that fiddled with Mickey Owens nackered bits but West Ham boss Alan Curbishley said:
“We have to decide this week what we’re going to do about Craig. We might have to go down the surgery route. I doubt he’ll go back to Germany, though, because it’s not that sort of injury.”
And Curbishley would surely love to have the Welsh rogue back to fitness, since signing in the summer he has only played eight times for the Hammers, and after having an operation in October he broke down again withing two weeks. West Ham’s injury curse isn’t looking like subsiding any time soon…
