German Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg, who were said to be taking Jens Lehmann off Arsene Wenger’s hands this winter, are apparently losing interest. Wolfsburg manager Felix Magath told a regional German newspaper Friday that Lehmann would be staying in London. The paper reports that Lehmann was seen in Wolfsburg at the start of last week.
Instead of Lehmann, the German club are apparently interested in Aston Villa’s Thomas Sorenson. The Dane is third on Martin O’Neill’s depth chart behind Scott Carson and Stuart Taylor.
