After todays result I’m afraid it’s got to be bye bye Benitez, he couldn’t pick a decent team if he tried

    1) anderson outplayed gerrard
    2) the build up about torres being the difference was pointless, as we have the best defence in england
    3) i love beating scouse bastards

1)on the evidence of today there isnt one liverpool player who would get in the man utd first team (closest being grerrard/torres, but both got out played today)
2)for all the critisism ferdinand has got in the past, he is united through and though now, as his passion showed today.
3)Anfield is one of my favorite places to play, easy points every season!!! Fortress Anfield (at least it is for united!!!!!)!!!!!

    1. i didn’t think liverpool were that far off the pace before. but humiliated by arsenal and really worthles today in their defeat to united. they are years (or another 100 mill) off a title challenge. no wonder benitez wants more money.

    2. it will be tough to take the title from united, they look strong, and weren’t even firing on all cylinders today

    3. thats really it.

    1. EPL requires consistencies over 38 games; the farcical CL requires luck over just 10 games.

    2. 18 years without a league title is hell of a long time; we could even be grandfathers.

    3. You’ll never walk alone because there are always other fans from other clubs walking forlornly with you; there is only one champion.

    1. United deal with high pressure matches better than any of the other “Top Four” especially the back four. Class. Did you see all the shoving at Emirates? Geez.

    2. Torres can’t beat Ferdinand. Anderson embarrassed Gerrard.

    3. United CAN win a match without Ronaldo scoring, he really was a ghost on the pitch. Honestly I love the boy but there were parts of the match in which I forgot he was even on the pitch.

3.5. The Rooney-Tevez connection is unstoppable. It should be those two lifting the trophy together come spring.

PREDICTION? Rooney will be back to scoring form next week vs Everton

    1. Ferdinand was awesome at the back, while Van Der Sar had a shocker

    2. Gerrard got taken to school !.

3.Giggs showed he can play for much longer. Oh and Hargreaves and Evra are two of the best buys United have made.

    1. Chelsea paid for 2 titles, Man U have paid more to get it back.
    2. Unless Liverpool pay loads, they will stay off the pace.
    3. Arsenal have paid less and are trying to do it with youngsters, Liverpool are probably trying to do the same - don’t expect a Liverpool Prem title soon.

Unfortunately the game is all about money

marzipan mynci - point 1 is spot on.
but you forgot to mention the 6 or 7 title united paid for before the russian millions came along. and the title blackburn paid for.

the only 2 premiership titles that have not been paid for are the ones arsenal won
since sky and the premiership came along, the title has always gone to the biggest spenders

“Man U have paid more to get it back.”
United had one major buy last season
and that was Michael Carrick and most people dont even rate him.
So how can you say that paid more to win it back.

fuck off eujen - they’ve been paying shedloads for years - it was only when roman came on the scene that they needed to spend more - maybe last season was just carrick but they only got the title back coz of chelsea’s injuries - and this season tevez, hargreaves, anderson and nani - coz it was unlikely they’d get the luck against chelsea again. it’s refreshing to see arse playing the best with very few big buys and likewise man city doing so well with their less expensive imports, but the game has been taken over by money and businessmen and has such has lost much of its appeal. well, for me, at least.

    1. Success and entertainment do not go hand in hand. Despite both of sundays winners being the most entertaining teams in the league both played an effective rather than entertaining brand of football (Spurs fans make a note of this!)

    2. No one wishes a bad injury on anyone but sometimes, Eboue, you get what you deserve!

    3. World Class players win you matches. The more you have the better you will be. Currently Liverpool & Chelsea only have 2 each and are over reliant on them. That is why Man Utd or Arsenal will win the league. Ronaldo had a poor game and Rooney was quiet yet Man Utd won. Torres & Gerrard were kept quiet and Liverpool struggled and resorted to hoofing it long.

And in response to Marzipan Mynci, its not all about money, otherwise the league would look like this Chelsea, Man Utd Liverpool, Spurs, Newcastle, Arsenal, Man City………..which sadly for Spurs fans it does not!

course it is all about money
united bought 6 or 7 titles before the russian came along. blackburn bought theirs

since the advent of sky and the premier league, the title has always gone to the biggest spenders

the people who say its all about money. are probably only jealous that their team hasn’t got any. man utd grew their own players. those ‘6 or 7′ titles were won by beckham, scholes, giggs, butt, g neville, p neville, schmeichel cost just £550,000! all of those were ever present in the dominance of the league.
BESIDES who wants to fall asleep in front of football, you want consistant entertainment you gotta pay!

so keane, cole, stam, yorke, v nistelrooy, veron, ferdinand etc. were not at all responisble for previous title wins?
because i’m pretty sure they paid a pretty big part, and i’m pretty sure at the time u bought them their transfer fees were well above the average expenditure of the rest of the premier league

Got something to say?
