Q: How many Daily Mail journos does it take to squeeze out an article?
The Daily Mail is reporting that the tenuous relationship between Rafa Benitez and his American paymasters has taken another step towards acrimonious divorce. To avoid the usual avalanche of allegations that we are lazy swines with absolutely no writing skills and a cruel unfounded hatred for Liverpool we’d like to point out that this is a Daily Mail report, so if you are so inclined, you can direct your bile and hatred towards these feral guttersnipe journos; Bob Cass and Joe Bernstein.
The Daily Mail reckons that Liverpool bosses Tom Hicks and George Gillett are set to give Rafa the worst possible Christmas present and actually tell him that there is no money to spend in the January transfer frenzy, considering that Rafa has been chuntering on about buying some reinforcements in the New Year this is going to come as a bit of a blow to say the least. Mailsters Cass and Bernstein write:
“Benitez has a history of falling out with club owners. He left Valencia despite winning the Spanish championship and the UEFA Cup and will now have to decide whether to stay at Anfield on the Americans’ terms.”
So with this rotten news, and given Rafa’s ‘history’, is it going to be a question of Rafa walking out on Gillett and Hicks rather than the Spaniard being sacked by the Americans?
