There’s nothing like fighting for your place. Despite being at Arsenal for less than three months, former Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra has declared he’s unhappy with life at the Emirates Stadium.
The French international has featured in a number of Arsenal’s recent matches, although this was mainly due to the likes of Fabregas, Flamini and Hleb missing through injury. It’s also clear that the Gunners boss likes to bring new players through slowly, with a firm belief that it takes several months for them to adjust to Premier League life.
He said of Diarra: “I’m unhappy that he is unhappy and we will try to make him happy.
“It takes some months to integrate in the club and he arrived late.
“We live in a world of competition for places and we have to accept that. That’s part of our job.”
Will the midfielder stick around long enough to fight for his place? Should Wenger go all out to make him feel at home or will Mathieu Flamini claim another scalp with his stunning form?
