Manchester City reckon they can take Anelka from under Chelsea’s nose.

The Sun reckons that Man City boss Sven Goran Eriksson is ready to hijack Chelsea’s move for Nic Anelka. Quite how a less rich, less successful club will contrive to hijack a proposed move to a richer and more successful club, is beyond us – but then we aren’t a footballing genius like Sven – a veritable Swedish soccer Superman, whose only weakness is dreaded Quarter-finals, which are like kryptonite to our hero.
The Sun reckons that the hijack will be successful when Sven waves £2m more than Chelsea offered under Gary Megson’s quivering ginger nasal hairs, and Sven will be able to take Anelka back to the Eastlands…again.
