Nothing appears to be going right for West Ham United midfielder Scott Parker. The former Chelsea and Newcastle United player has been saddled with a string of injuries so far this season and appears to have buckled down under them. Goal.com reports that Parker would now be out of action for at least six weeks with a knee injury
Scott Parker sustained the injury during the Hammers’ victory over Manchester United but it appears that Parker wouldn’t too fondly remember that victory. The player has managed to make just 7 starts in the English premier League this season after signing from Newcastle for £7 million in the summer.
But his manager at West Ham, Alan Cubishley, is confident that the player can recover. This is what he told Sky Sports News:
He’s a resilient boy, he’s been through it a little bit, and he’ll come out stronger because of it. If it was similar injury, or the same injury, then I think we’d all be a bit disappointed, but it’s a new injury, so we’ve just got to get on with it.
Well, the Hammers have no other option but to get on with it. But how will a plethora of injuries to West Ham players affect the team for the rest of the season?
