Is Paul Robinson’s career at Tottenham Hotspur finally coming to an end? He is by no means guaranteed England’s number 1 any more and he could just be packing his bags from White Hart Lane too.
But when Sky Sports asked Spurs assistance manager Gus Poyet whether Robinson would depart from the club or not, the former Spurs player refused to release any statement but at the same time didn’t exactly deny hat Robinson is welcome to stay on at White Hart Lane.
This is what Puyot told Sky Sports:
I would say no comment, because I don’t know. You are the first one to tell me that. I don’t know. We like him. We said last week there is nothing wrong with Robbo. He’s part of the team and was involved today in the squad.
True, Robinson was involved in the Spurs squad that had to swallow humble pie as London rivals beat them 2-0 in the English premier League on Saturday. But crucially for Robinson, he was not involved with the team that was actually playing on the pitch against Chelsea and this is the second successive match that Robinson has been dropped from the first team by Juande Ramos.
So what do you think? Is Robinson’s time at White Hart Lane finally drawing to a close? Do you think that he should be given more chances or is it good for Spurs that they find another custodian?
