The Mohamed Sissoko transfer speculation saga is blowing out of proportion these days. The Liverpool fall out boy who doesn’t appear to be interested in prolonging his career at Liverpool is currently with his Malian national side for the African Nations’ Cup but top European clubs continue to express his interest in the 22-year old.
Juventus were billed as the best bet to snap the player away from Anfield this January but the Old Lady’s President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has declared that the club wouldn’t be making any acquisition this month.
Sky Sports now reports that another Italian giant Inter Milan could be the club that gobbles up the talented ad impressive Sissoko. Valencia too are interested in the player but manager Ronald Koeman’s future at the Mestalla is under a cloud and under such circumstances Sissoko might not be eager o head towards the Galician city.
Inter manager Roberto Mancini told Sky Italia:
Sissoko? I think despite his young age he has big qualities and I think he could be an important player for whoever will be able to sign him.
So is Sissoko heading for the San Siro now? Or at the end of the day is this all going to a classic instance of much ado about nothing with Sissoko staying at Anfield for the rest of the season?
