More Spanish intrusion into top flight English football. Aston Villa are contemplating on a bid to land the highly rated Sevilla left full back Jose Angel Crespo from the Spanish club Sevilla at the end of the season.
Goal.com reports that Vila manager Martin O’Neill is looking at a number of players he would like to import to his promising team for next season and it appears that the Spanish U20 international is at the top of the list. Crespo is a graduate of the Sevilla youth academy and made his debut only this season against Valencia at Sevilla’s home ground Pijzuan under manager Manolo Giminez. The 20-year old is a promising young lad and is always keen to learn.
But will Villa be benefited by the arrival of Angel Crespo in the summer? He is certainly a capable youngster but should O’Neill trust a budding and yet-to-be-truly-tested player?
