Someone please help the Reds. Liverpool appear to hit the headlines all the time and all for the wrong reasons. Rafael Benitez’s future is still enveloped in a gray cloud of uncertainty, relationships between the manager and club owners have been impaired, the team is almost assured of not winning the English Premier League this year too and last week co-owner Tom Hicks admitted that he did indeed contemplate on bringing Jurgen Klinsmann to Anfield.
And then there was the wild speculation that George Gillett and Tom Hicks could be on the verge of selling the club, which is not proving to be too much of a good investment result-wise. Although Goal.com reports that both the American tycoons have denied such rumours yet the doubt lingers on that Liverpool are a club in not a healthy condition at all.
This is what the duo’s spokesman said;
Any suggestion Hicks and Gillett are contemplating a sale of the club or any portion of it is categorically untrue.
Yes, these speculations are only that—speculations, probably completely without any foundation. Yet all such uncertainly and false talks surrounding the club would only help shove Liverpool deeper into the pit.
