Manchester United faced Reading FC over the weekend, and, as expected, came out on top with a 2-0 win against the Royals. With Arsenal playing at the same time, Manchester United needed full points to retain their top of the league position, and Sir Alex Ferguson obviously felt the pressure. It has been reported, and proven through video footage, that the Manchester United legend gave Reading fans the ‘up yours’ gesture after Manchester United’s stressful win.
Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, stated in response:
“All I was doing was expressing my relief at winning what was one of our hardest matches of the season.”
An act of a drunk? Or an act of a passionate manager who is respectably feeling the pressure in what is turning out to be one of the most closest title battles since the beginning of the Premier League in 1992. Is the form of Arsenal and Chelsea enhancing the effectiveness of the Scots Scotch? Is this a sign of weakness? Or a sign of passion? Should you be making a big deal about it? You tell us!
