Goal.com quotes the notorious British tabloid The News of the World suggesting that Premiership clubs Aston Villa and Manchester City are both lining up big money to lure the Beast from Real Madrid.
Julio Cesar Baptista, or the Beast as he is affectionately nicknamed, is no unknown to the Premiership. His one year loan period with Arsenal last season might have ended with neither Real Madrid nor Arsenal demonstrating too much of eagerness to sign the Brazilian midfielder but his run of superb performances for the los Merengues so far this season has been eye-catching.
The News of the World has reported that both City and Villa would make a bid in the summer but whether or not Real would be coaxed to sell the 26-year old remain to be seen. Baptista might have returned to Spain last summer without proving much but at the same time you must keep in kind the fact that he really didn’t get his fair share of chances at the Emirates.
