Newcastle United appear to be on the brink of a Keegan revolution with the Geordies being linked to all sort of top players both in the Premiership and abroad but one player who wouldn’t be joining the deck is the Nigerian defender Celestine Babayaro.
Babayaro had already left the club in December last year by mutual consent and has been without a club since then. But Goal.com now reports that the former Chelsea full back is moving to the MLS in order to play out the remainder of his laying career. The 29-year old Babayaro has reportedly agreed to join LA Galaxy. Yeah, that’s the club that mighty Becks joined in the summer.
So this is another old and torn player shipping off to the MLS. Would football Stateside improve by embracing such players who are virtually in the twilight of their careers? The jury is out…..
