The Sun reports that Robbie Keane is looking to the White Hart Lane faithful to provide Spurs with was is technically known as “a bit of oomph” in their Carling Cup semi-final against Arsenal tonight.
Robbie Keane said:
“It’s an old cliché but the crowd are the 12th man.
“I don’t say that lightly because when the crowd are behind you, it does give you an extra boost when they’re willing you on.
“I’m sure the fans will be the same as they always are.
“It’s a massive occasion for both teams but playing in front of our own fans will be special for us.
“Hopefully it will be even more special come the end of the game.”
So will the crowd be enough to inspire Spurs to a famous victory over Arsenal’s playground superstars…
