Alan Shearer is eager to join the managerial bandwagon. The Toon legend might not have been chosen by the newly appointed Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan to be his assistant at St. James’ Park but as Sky Sports reports, the England legend is ready to try his hand elsewhere.
Sky Sports quotes Shearer telling The Sun that he is not restricting himself to working only at Newcastle and is in fact open to offers from other clubs. Shearer says:
Why would I say that Newcastle will be the only club for me? Yes, they are my club and I love them but it doesn’t mean I could never work for anyone else.
Shearer then is bent on stepping into management soon. Of course, he should probably try and get a post as an assistant first but rest assured that a few years down the line we’ll be hearing of Alan Shearer the manager.
