Is Theo Walcott so good? Goal.com reports that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has refused a Liverpool offer to offload the England international striker to Anfield for until the end of the season.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez was reported to be keen on signing the 18-year old striker but he has failed to convince his Arsenal counterpart to loan him the former Southampton youngster. Wenger doesn’t eclipse the fact that Walcott is to young to feature regular for Arsenal’s first team but he is also confident that the future of Walcott lies at the Emirates and doesn’t want to let the player go.
Why Rafa requires a striker is anybody’s guess? Liverpool haven’t lacked goals so far this season, have they? What they need to off the pitch stability and overall improvement. After all, they have a world class striker in Fernando Torres who has been terrific in his first season in the English Premier League.
