At least that’s the “ITK” rumour making its way around certain certain legendary Spurs message boards, in between arguments about how crap Chimonda is and whether Huddlestone really is an option at centre back. The story is that Villa has already flown into London this afternoon, no doubt wearing his 125 anniversary kit and Puma tracksuit bottoms. Although it came from a board member with tenuous Spanish connections and a near-fatal obsession with Barcelona.
But given that Sky Sports and The Daily Mail have had to retract stories about Boateng being sold to Aston Villa because they were total bollocks, we don’t feel bad reporting on rumours flying around fan message boards because they can’t be any less accurate.
Make of it what you will, but if this ridiculous rumour comes off just remember where you heard it first! (Or second, if you’re a member of Glory-Glory).
