Yesterday Didier Drogba was reported to possess some affection for AC Milan and now another Chelsea player drumming it loud and clear that he loves the Italian club. Ghana Web reports that Ghana midfielder Michael Essien has admitted that he loves AC Milan and that they are his favourite team.
Essien told Italy’s highest selling sports daily Gazzetta dello Sport:
I like Italian football very much. From a tactical point of view it is the best League in the world. My favorite team are Milan because they have Kaka, Paolo Maldini and of course Gennaro Gattuso. The Italian player I like the most is Gattuso. He is an extraordinary fighter – tough, but fair.
So is there a tiny desire to join your favorite team lurking underneath, Mr. Essien?
