Last season Dirk Kuyt was the second best player for Liverpool and was the best strikers in the English Premier League but this season hasn’t quite gone according to plan for the Dutch international marksman. Kuyt is currently on a run of 12 matches without a single goal to his name but he is not losing hope at all.
Sky Sports quotes the playing as saying:
The only option is to get on with it. Sometimes you just need a little piece of luck to make a huge difference. The most important thing is to keep focused and keep believing in yourself. It’s my job to score goals and I haven’t done that on a regular basis. Now I’ve got to keep going and turn this situation around.
Kuyt’s drought has not been helpful to Liverpool with only Spanish international striker Fernando Torres hitting the back of the opposition’s net regularly. Rafael Benitez would certainly want the former Feyenoord striker to unearth his scoring boots again so that the Reds can finish fourth this season in the English Premier League.
