Arsenal to try their luck on Diego Capel?
by sub on February 9th, 2008 11 commentsEveryone knows about the North London rivalry that exists between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and now everyone will know that they are set to battle for the 19-year old Sevilla left back Diego Capel.
This report suggests that the Gunners are preparing a £8 million bid for the Spanish Under20 international in the summer. Capel is one of the most gifted individuals in the Spanish game and Spurs were linked to the player in the month of January.
But now Arsenal appear to have shot themselves into the race. With Spurs going through a difficult patch and the Gunners on the up, it wouldn’t be hard for anyone to guess which club would Capel choose. But Spurs have Juande Ramos as their manager and maybe he could lure Capel to White Hart Lane.

I live in spain and my cousin s m8 s father is actually friend s with Capels agent Pep Quardiola who used 2 play 4 Barca and he says its between Barca and Liverpool

i dont really mind if he comes to arsenal or not i would like us to spend big for once and try and do everything to get quaresma

diego capel is d NEXT big thing for spain.. this guy is superb wid excellent pace n ball control n some terrific left foot passing.. i have no doubt that he is closest to messi in terms of his style of play.. i would b surprised if sevilla will want to sell him.. saw him play against barca last night n was thinking if wenger is watching this 19-year old wonder.. a TERRIFIC prospect!

have watched this boy carpel. he’s just fanatastic, he’s got brilliancy and his left foot is like det of messi’s. he is quick and terrifying and can take any defender/anyone wen he likes; wenger should not miss out dis one. on the other side even if we were 2 gamble on £20 million i wouldnt mind to bring boy queresma to emirates. ARSENE PLEASE OPEN THE CASH BOOK FOR ONCE AND BRING THIS TWO ARSENAL TYPES TO ASHBURTON AND WHO WOULD WANT TO FACE US WITH THIS: FLAMINI,FABREGAS,QUERESMA,HLEB,ROSICKY,ADEBAYOR.RV. i would like to know whether Arsene Wenger ever reads all these comments.I really think Arsenal needs somebdy like Quaresma to challenge for the champions league and for reliable depth.

please bring in Modric arsene…..quaresma is good but i dont think we need him cuz we alread gat Hleb and Walcott and obviously Vela is coming in january…so arsene bring Modric or ben Arfa then arsenal is a complete team

Can’t see us buying a new left back. With Clichy on form and breaking into the French national team. Armand Traore looking like he will develop into a quality player, why bother?
