Bad news for Arsenal. Channel 4 reports that AC Milan ace Kaka would be fit in time for the duo’s UEFA Champions League clash in the last 16 first leg match on February 19 although the 25-year old Brazilian international would be out of action till then.
Kaka is currently nursing a knee injury that has bothered him since late last year and is certain to miss this weekend’s match against Siena and would also be out for Milan’s Italian Serie A fixture against Parma on February 16. The player says:
The knee is getting better. Unfortunately, this is an old problem. I’ve been dealing with this pain for a long time and managing to deal with it, but I can’t keep training and playing at my best with it. This is the right time to take a rest and see if that’s enough to cure it. I’m hoping to play again as soon as possible. I don’t know how long it will take, but it doesn’t look like I will be playing on Sunday or Wednesday. Still, we will see about the Parma game because there is a week to go.I just want to be back for the double test against Arsenal. I don’t think any operation will be needed, not even at the end of the year.
Arsenal must be cowing in terror and the more cynical Gunners fans would certainly be paraying that Kaka doesn’t recover for that vital first leg Champions League clash.
