Manchester United 1-2 Manchester City, three things you learned from this match?

February 10, 2008

The ever-popular Three Things series has expanded to include matchday action, and this weekend we’ll be dealing with the Manchester Derby. Some people saw this match in all its live glory, others on the telly, and some not at all. Either way everyone probably saw it differently and here’s your chance to tell each other what you learned.
So forget the numpteys at Sky Sports or the nerds at the BBC, here’s your chance to tell everyone the three things you learned from this match and see what others thought as well.
Today Manchester City shocked United at Old Trafford and strengthened their Champions League claims by beating their hosts 2-1 courtesy of first half goals from Darius Vassell and Benjani Mwaruwari.

Here are some poorly formatted match stats:

    (1) [Some] Manchester United supporters are illiterate
    (2) [Some] Manchester United supporters have no idea about football
    (3) It’s great to remember the feeling of doing the double after all these years
I didn’t need to learn that we have the best supporters in the land :)

Today football won and the people of Manchester we remembered - I as a City fan am just as pi**ed off to see day trippers coming to our stadium but I think it was the people of Manchester that remembered. Fergies gesture to the City fans was sound and also giving out scarves was a uniting gesture. Loosing aint easy and of course as a City fan I know all about that but loosing your life is terrible. United are a good side and have been for years under Fergie this is reality and I am not bitter.

    1) City took their chances.
    2) Wes Brown can’t cross a ball to save his life
    3) Fergie made a mistakes [not playing hargreaves or carrick from the beginning, playing ronaldo in the middle]

    1. Chelsea had the chance to close to within 1 of Manyoo but blew it.
    2. Arsenal are going to win the title
    3. Oh well, I’d rather Arsenal than those dirty mancs.

Let’s all laugh at Fergie, who is going to win f**k all this season.

Oh dear, what a shame, poor old ManU. Good respect for the dead, even better lack of respect for the overpaid, cheating red divs - well played Citeh.

The best possible end to the season for City fans now is getting fourth spot (obviously) and also United losing the league to Arsenal by 5 points.

    Fingers crossed.

Got something to say?
