Former Arsenal star builds up Saturday’s FA Cup tie

Arsenal travel to Old Trafford on Saturday to confront Manchester United in the fifth round of the FA Cup but the Red Devils should be the favourites for this tie. Sir Alex Ferguson is anticipated to set up his strongest available line-up but not half as much can be said of Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger.

Arsenal will be without a bulk of the team since several of the players are sidelined with various injuries but former Arsenal defender Martin Keown reckons that even a severely depleted Gunners team can still come away with a victory.

The former England international tells Setanata Sports:

This United squad have tasted victory already but Arsenal, the title pretenders, the new kids on the block, can they snatch that away from Manchester United?

It’s always a great game and I see this being a cracking one because both teams are playing the outstanding football in The Premiership.

It’s a fascinating weekend and it’s a pity Arsenal are stretched in terms of personnel. But the message to those players who go out there is to win, because that’s how Arsene Wenger approaches every single game.

Arsenal and Manchester United are involved in a two-horse race for the Premiership title this season with the former 5 points ahead. An Arsenal victory on Saturday would severely dent Man United’s morale and Wenger would relish doing that.
