Arsenal manager urges focus on Champions League

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is urging his team to shrug off the weekend’s FA Cup disappointment and look towards midweek’s UEFA Champions League, last 16, first leg tie against reigning European champions AC Milan. The Gunners were depleted for the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Saturday and Wenger says that his men should now concentrate solely on getting past Milan.

The French professor says:

I did not have many options. The players who were on the bench were all recommended not to play medically. I still thought we had a good enough team to have a chance but United were better than us. It is important to pick up and prepare for a massive game. My team is upset but they are strong mentally and will recover for Wednesday.

The bad news for Wenger is that the planet’s best player Kaka is back from a knee-injury for the first leg and the Gunners have to be at the peak of their abilities against the Rossoneri.
