Arsenal striker at loss to explain Milan miss
by stresster on February 21st, 2008 2 commentsThe match between Arsenal and Milan was going into injury-time when Theo Walcott crossed the ball towards the six-yard box. Surely, the prolific Emmanuel Adebayor would break his Champions League duck and ensure his team could take an advantage to the San Siro? Despite it seemingly being easier to score rather than miss, the striker headed against the crossbar and the Daily Mail report that he’s still at a loss to explain how the ball didn’t find the net.
“I cannot even explain what happened,” said Adebayor. “That is football, and is what we are made of. Sometimes everything is okay, and sometimes the ball just does not want to go into the net.
“I had an amazing chance, but I put the ball onto the bar. The most important thing is to be creating the chances. Hopefully I will put one in at the San Siro. We know it is going to be very difficult in Milan, but we are ready for it.”
It will now be a tall order for Arsene Wenger’s men at the San Siro, especially as they have to go out and attack the holders. It’s one thing netting goals against the likes of Newcastle and Blackburn but Adebayor will need to raise his game if his team are to progress.

Yeah, i think adebayor has to explain y the ball didn’t find the back of the net. I personally watched the action when the young boy crossed the ball proffesionally and measuring the height of our profilic striker. His (Adebayor) eyes were on the ball and he missed to head downwards, instead headed upwards and at the cross bar. It was the only open chance we had and the only winning goal for the gunners;Hopefully this will not be repeated at san siro in aforty night time
