Arsenal have been hit with more injuries. The Gunners failed to score a goal against AC Milan at the Emirates in their last 16, first leg tie in the UEFA Champions League and also had to lose their most vital defender Kolo Toure after just 7 minutes with a calf injury. He did look in massive agony as he had to be escorted out of the pitch.
Reports have now revealed that the 26-year old Ivory Coast international defender will be out for at least 4 weeks. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger himself admits that and says:
A calf injury that rules him out for, from what I’ve seen after the game, for three or four weeks at least. It was a bad movement, a consequence of the African Nations Cup, too much heat in the calf.
This implies that Toure will be out for the second leg as well and for a few English Premier League encounters. Toure missed last month’s action due to African Nations’ Cup commitments and shall now miss one whole month due to injury.
