City manager accepts defeat with grace

All you poor losers, learn from the magnanimous Swede Mr. Sven-Goran Eriksson. His team Manchester City lost 2-0 to Everton in the Premiership on Monday night and have slipped further in their bid to qualify for fourth spot but the former England national team coach accepts defeat with grace.

Eriksson admits that Everton were the better side at the City of Manchester Stadium on Monday night and that the Toffees deserved to win. He says:

We have been brought back down to earth after beating United, but I thought we did well in the first 30 minutes.

This was a real disappointment, we did not play that badly and had a lot of possession without getting any penetration.

We tried hard in the second half, but with our attacks they were able to break and still create chances. Of course Everton are a strong team, well organised and they defended very well.

Applause for you, Mr. Eriksson. It is really generous of you to accept defeat with so much grace and spirit. I can only wish that whingers learn from you, and there are a lot of them in the Premiership at the moment.
